This is what you get with DEI. This is what you get when you telegraph your administrative moves by saying that you’re definitely going to fill an important position with someone based on their sex and race.

What is “this?” In this case, “this” refers to Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. She had yet another brilliant take recently.

Are you a parent of a child in a school that teaches your kid something against your beliefs or values? Jackson’s remedy, instead of talking with the school about the curriculum, is to just uproot your kid and send them to a different school — if you can afford it.

In speaking about “LGBTQ-Themed Books in Elementary Schools, Jackson said that you either accept what the school is indoctrinating your child with or you can just “put them in another situation.”

“If the school teaches something that the parent disagrees with, you have a choice,” Jackson said. “You don't have to send your kid to that school, you can put them in another situation.”

Now, for most of us who believe in school choice, this might sound alright on the surface. But if you don’t have many options for your child, Jackson’s suggestion is a lose-lose situation.

If only activists like Jackson felt the same way about the Marxists who constantly complain about the traditional values of being an American, they could just leave, which they can, and try and prove another country suits them better.
